"Our visit to Clare has been a wonderfully uplifting experience

 

Those were just some of the words of praise a recent visitor sent to the Clare Business Association following a visit to Clare by the Mayor of Chatillon in France and Christopher Coombes.  They were here for a couple of days with their partners for a guided tour around Clare which included visiting the schools.  The Mayor kindly gave a presentation on his town Chatillon at the Annual Community Meeting held on Tuesday 21st April.

"As an expat living in France, it can be quite depressing reading about the many problems in the UK.  However, our visit to Clare has been a wonderfully uplifting experience.  The strong community spirit, the traditional English politeness and the warm welcome, for me make Clare an examplar of English community life.
