Village of the Year presentation
Clare welcomed the Mayor of St. Edmundsbury, Councillor Robert Cockle, to present the Village of the Year Award 2008 to Cllr. June Smith who led the joint community challenge for the prestigious silver bowl trophy. The Mayor on handing over the trophy said "This Award is a huge tribute to all of those community groups who contributed to Clare's campaign in what is a challenging and rigorous inspection process. They can be justifiably proud of their efforts".
