Three Charged over assault on Clare Man
FOLLOWING a serious assault on Clare resident Ned Gemmill, three teenagers have appeared in court charged with grevious bodily harm and violent disorder with a fourth man also being arrested in connection with the assault. Those charged are all from Ipswich and they appeared before magistrates in Ipswich last Tuesday. They have now been released on conditional bail and will appear at Ipswich Crown Court next week.
Mr Gemmill had been on a night out in Ipswich on June 26th to celebrate his 21st birthday with friends. When they left the Zest nightclub at 2am they were attacked by a group of men, which resulted in Mr Gemmill receiving head injuries that left him fighting for his life in Addenbrookes Hospital, Cambridge. His condition is now understood to be improving.
