National chair role for Marian
A SCHOOL secretary has been appointed as chairman of the national professional body representing administrative and support staff at schools.
Marian Merch-Chammon who lives in Clare, has been school secretary at Samuel Ward Upper School and Technology College in Haverhill for the past 10 years.
She has bean appointed chairman of the National Association of Administrative and Support Staff for the year, after spending the past year as vice-chairman.
Marian said: “It has been an honour to be asked, I have been a member for nine years and just got more involved gradually over the years. The association is there to offer help to members with any difficulties or problems they have within schools.”
