Crash Leaves Couple Fighting for Lives
CLARE couple Bob and Shirley Lamb were involved in a serious accident outside Long Melford on Sunday 18th April that left them fighting for their lives. Both who were still in intensive care at West Suffolk Hospital were late last week described as being in a stable condition.
The accident happened at about 2pm and involved their Fiat Marea and a green Isuzu Trooper. 75-year-old Mrs Lamb and her husband Bob who have a local antique’s business in Clare had to be cut free from the wreckage by fire crews and the road was closed for several hours.
Police are appealing for witnesses and have asked that anyone who may have seen either of the vehicles in the area before the collision contact PC Andrew Fossey on 01284 774225.
