Crime Prevention Roadshow comes to Town
SUFFOLK Police and Haverhill Crime Prevention Panel are co-hosting an event in Clare Town Hall on Saturday January 17th between 10am and 4pm.
The event will cover a range of issues and local officers P.C. Martin Parsonson and P.C. Martin England will both be there to answer questions about local policing matters. They will be joined by other members of the force including the Crime Reduction Officer, Dave Dyble and Community Liaison Officer Diane Townsend who will be there to promote Neighbourhood Watch Schemes.
The Crime Prevention Panel will be offering a special service on the day by taking photographs of valuable items owned by the public in order that a record of those items can be kept by being burned onto a CD free of charge. They would encourage as many local people as possible to take up this opportunity. There will also be the opportunity to have items security marked. This may include items of value such as computers, mobile phones, bicycles etc.
The Special Constabulary will also be there to promote their services and encourage others to join – there will be application forms available on the day. They will be giving presentations at 10.30am, 12.30 and 2.30pm and there will be the chance to speak to existing Specials. There will also be high visibility foot patrols around the town.
