Clare Library is first for Sunday Opening
Clare library was one of the first libraries in Suffolk to open on a Sunday. Doors opened on Sunday 10th August at 11am and closed at 4pm. Suffolk County Council are keen to attract new groups of people and the Sunday opening will hopefully do this and encourage more people to find out what the library can offer them.
Sunday opening will have a different feel with music playing, refreshments and newspapers available as well as clubs for children and teenage sessions. There will also be computer-learning courses. More information about the Sunday opening in Suffolk is available at www.sundaylibraries.co.uk
The library is also currently running "The reading maze" for children. This is
a summer holiday challenge, which encourages youngsters to read six books over
the holidays. Libraries are providing collectable folders, stickers and other
incentives to help the children of all ages to complete the challenge and earn
a special certificate and medal.
