Clare needs help to bloom in 2003
A NEW Clare in Bloom committee is being formed to take on the challenge of trying to win national recognition in the Britain in Bloom 2003 competition.
The community has won the large village class in the Anglia in Bloom event for the last two years and has now been invited to represent East Anglia in the Britain in Bloom contest.
However after many successful years, Chairlady Jane Bone and Treasurer June Smith feel that they should step aside, meaning a new committee must be formed if the Britain in Bloom 2003 entry is to proceed.
Both will be more than happy to lend their guidance and support to the new committee members, but neither is presently able to offer the level of personal commitment that they have done in previous years.
It is hoped that everyone will lend a hand. Anyone who feels they can help should attend the Clare in Bloom annual meeting being held at the Old School Community Centre in Clare on Wednesday January 15 at 7.3Opm.
