Clare wins Best Large Village 2002!
Clare has won Best Large Village 2002-Anglia in Bloom Competition for the second year running.
The judges commented on how every street in the town was full of colour with hanging baskets on lamposts, planters on street corners and well managed gardens.
The judges were also particuarly impressed by the churchyard and cemetary as well as the country walk through the Nuttery, with its new hedgerows, tree planting and a large pond with short grass paths.
The judges also commented on just how well kept Clare's Country Park was and also mentioned the well-used recycling area, saying it was all presented well by the 'Clare In Bloom team'.
As an additional reward, Clare was also winners of the ENCAMS trophy for least litter in category A.
