Parish council's 'eyesore' approved by Borough Planners
ALTERATIONS to a garden shed at Stoke-by-Clare, described as an eyesore by the Town Council, have been approved by planners.
St Edmundsbury Borough Council's Planning Committee approved the retrospective application for making the shed in Chapel Street, one and a half metres higher.
Stoke-by-Clare Town Council wrote to the committee to say the shed was now an eyesore and should be restored to its original height.
However, Planning Officers considered it caused little or no harm to the character of the site or to the village Conservation Area as a whole.
