Clare in Bloom
Clare’s participation in the Eastern Region’s premier horticultural competition, Anglia in Bloom is again set for this July. It not only makes the town look good for both residents and visitors alike, but it provides the community with the opportunity to become involved through the towns various clubs, societies and businesses.
To encourage this community involvement in the externally judged competition, the Clare in Bloom committee organises its own competition called…well, Clare in Bloom of course!
The Clare in Bloom competition is organised into several categories, which are:
Best Resident’s Front Garden
Best Resident’s House Front
Best Resident’s Container
Best Public House Frontage
Best Shop Frontage
How can residents, organisations and businesses get involved?
1. Plant out flowers in your front garden or display hanging baskets and/or containers.
2. Join in the ‘Litter Pick’ before judgement day!
3. Volunteer to help - areas in need of helpers are the weeding of Church borders and deadheading container displays near to your home.
4. Any suggestions to help Clare win!
Remember, by entering your home or business into Clare in Bloom you are automatically helping Clare Town’s entry into Anglia in Bloom! Good luck!
