Clare in Bloom
In the annual competition for some of the most attractive villages and towns in Britain, Clare came third in the large village section and first for the local activity prize, which includes best shop front, house etc. Local people had worked hard to make the town as attractive as possible and bright displays of flowers made an added attraction for the town’s visitors. The Clare in Bloom committee were delighted with the result but hope for even better success next year.
