Bye-Laws for the Country Park, the Nuttery and the Playing Fields
Clare Town Council is publishing this set of bye-laws for
various areas of Clare to ensure that everyone understands what is permitted. The format of each follows government
guidelines.
All documents are in pdf format:
Bye-law 2 in each case specifies that the Council or its
agents (Clare Castle Country Park Trust and the Playing Fields Association, the
Management Trust for the Playing Fields), may give permission for a wide of
activities.
The list of prohibitions may look severe at first, but they
are written to ensure that specific permission is sought from the appropriate
authority for each area in advance. They
are not written to exclude properly organised events or activities, or ordinary
daily use.
It remains the responsibility of the Council and its
Managing Agents to ensure the safe use of its facilities.
The Car Park of Clare Castle Country Park will continue to
be administered and managed by St Edmundsbury Borough Council. Dog fouling is separately covered by
government law and prosecutions are carried out by St Edmundsbury Borough
Council.
Comments on these bye-laws are welcome. They should be forwarded to the Clerk of the
Town Council by 1st April 2016, labelled Bye-laws Consultation.
