Sothebys Experts at Clare
Some 250 people brought heirlooms and other prized objects to the Town Hall on September 23rd, to be identified and valued by Sothebys panel of experts. Although the experts reported “nothing of earth-shattering value”, they saw many “interesting” items. The event was staged in aid of the Clare Ancient House Museum, whose season ended last month. Thanks to this, and other efforts by the Trustees and the Friends of the Museum, the first year has ended comfortably in the black.
