Magna Carta in Clare Festival - events announced
In 2015
Clare will be celebrating the 800th anniversary of Magna Carta and
the vital role played by the two Clare barons, Richard and Gilbert de Clare. A
series of events is being organised to provide adult educational, school and
community opportunities to enjoy history, culture, entertainment and food of
the period as well as to learn more about this important phase in Clare’s
history. Events are being organised in the Town Hall, Stour Valley
Community School and in Clare Castle Country Park. All details are

How You Can Get Involved
You can, of course, just attend the many events, but many of
you will remember the days when Clare had its own carnival and fairs…. when all
of the Clare community got involved. It’s so much more fun when you take
part and have spent an hour or two being part of the team.
