Pumpkins in the Park event a success
Clare Town Councillors have received letters of thanks and praise following the Pumpkins in the Park event in Clare Castle Country Park on 31st October. Lots of families attended the Halloween Trail and were excited and petrified in equal measure when met by witches, werewolves and other ghouls as they followed the clues around the park.

One attendee, visiting friends from Hertfordshire wrote:
'Thank you for a fantastic Halloween event, we were visiting friends and were able to attend. Such a great idea, we all loved it, can't wait for the next!'

While a Clare resident wrote:
'I am writing to say a hearty congratulations for the Pumpkins in the Park day last Thursday. Our granddaughter was staying and we had a really enjoyable time going round the park. The monsters were scary and the riddles and clues were well thought out.'

Congratulations to Town Councillor Margaret Godwin and Robin Stone who organised the event and thanks to all who helped to make the event such a success: particularly David Gilbert and his Budding Artists Group who provided free art activities. Also Councillors Gayle Mallows and Phil Gryce and volunteers from the following community groups: CADS, Clare in Bloom, Clare Scouts.
