The Barn Dance in full swing!

A big thank you to all those who made it to the Clare Christmas Lights Barn Dance - together we raised a whopping £1447 towards the lights.

Many people helped on the night, sold tickets in advance or lent us props for the hall so an extra special thanks to you! It was a great night and well worth the hard work.

More fund raising events will be held over 2013 but in the meantime we shall be preparing for the 'Big Switch On' next month! As before, we'll have the family procession with glow sticks,a childrens entertainer and Santa will be stopping by. So join us on the 23rd November 2012 for that very special community evening and watch Clare town light up for Christmas.

St Edmundsbury County Council have confirmed that this is the last year they will be helping to fund the Christmas lights, as of next year, we are on our own. The Town Council will continue to help where possible but it's going to take some serious fundraising to meet the full amount each year. We are happy to try but our small committee cannot do it alone. We need the full support of the community. So please, get involved, spread the word and help make the difference. Thank you
