Clare has just won this years Anglia in Bloom competition for the Best Large Village – great news for the Clare in Bloom team. The Nuttery also won first prize for Best Conservation project – thanks to Keith Mison and his helpers. The Almshouses were commended for their beautiful Courtyard Garden.

 

Sarah Pugh, one of the Clare In Bloom Committee members said, "We were actually very proud we were able to put on as good a display as we did given the weather earlier in the year and given the financial constraints we were working under. It was really a team effort. We pulled together. It matters to businesses that Clare is pretty. Pretty places bring in people."

 

The awards will be displayed around Clare in local shops.
