Clare received its official award of Suffolk Village of the Year at a prize-giving event attended by the Mayor of St Edmundsbury as well as over 100 members of the community.
The event organised by Clare Town Council and Suffolk Association of Local Councils (SALC), served as a celebration of everything achieved in Clare over the last 2 years. At the event, Keith Haisman, Chairman of Clare Town Council, thanked everyone who works behind the scenes to make Clare such a wonderful place to live. Village of the Year organiser Rona Burt, also paid tribute to those who put their time and effort into the many clubs and societies, businesses and community projects that Clare has to offer local people of all ages and interests.
