The
Pre-School and Primary School have once again been very supportive of
Clare in Bloom and have encouraged their children to join in planting
and caring for the plants. The children in the Primary School brought
in a variety of plants from home and Mr. Pearce-Higgins explained to them
in detail how to plant, water and care for them correctly.

On Sunday 1st May 2005 the recently refurbished Library organized a sunflower growing competition for local children. The children helped
plant a container outside the Library and then were given plants to see
who could grow the tallest sunflower at home. Clare in Bloom awarded a
book token to the winner. |

2001 Clare won the trophy for Best Large Village in the Anglia in Bloom
